On-page SEO, as we've already explained, encompasses all the activities performed on our website's content and source code. This includes:

Content optimization

Website tags

Fixing technical issues

Many people consider on-page and technical SEO to be distinct entities, while others view them as overlapping categories. It doesn't matter how many parts you divide SEO into; the only difference is how good the results are for your clients or your own website.

In this blog, I will share an On-Page SEO Checklist. This checklist will work for almost every type of website (e-commerce, blog, CMS-based, or coded websites). While some additional points may be added to different websites, this general checklist is enough to strengthen your SEO strategy.

Step 1: Content Quality

Google always wants helpful, original, and human-written content.

The minimum length of content should be 500 words.

Ideal length: 1000+ words (the more detailed the better).

Blog or business website, in both cases, your content should include FAQs, service explanations, and in-depth details.

Keyword Density

Avoid repeating the same keywords over and over again.

Experts believe that keyword density should not exceed 2–3%.

Best practice: Read the content yourself. If the keyword seems overstuffed and irritating to read, it means the density is high.

Use LSI keywords (related keywords), such as:

"SEO Training" / "On-Page SEO Training" instead of "Online SEO Course."

Step 2: Plagiarism & AI Content Check

No website should have copied content.

A minimum of 50% unique content should be present, preferably 70–80% unique.

Even AI-generated content needs to be humanized.

If a sentence sounds robotic, manually rephrase it.

Step 3: Meta Tag Optimization

Meta Title

Length: Up to 580 pixels (approx. 50–60 characters).

Should be simple, clear, and keyword-focused.

Meta Description

Length: 850–920 pixels (approx. 150–160 characters).

Include keyword + call to action (e.g., “Enroll Now” or “Get 50% Discount”).

It should be unique and attractive to increase CTR.

Step 4: URL Optimization

The URL is your website's address.

Optimize only the slug (permalink).

It must include the primary keyword.

Keep it short and clean.

Step 5: Grammar & Readability

Content should not just be keyword stuffing, but should also be user-friendly.

Keep sentences short and simple.

Use blog titles and subheadings (H1, H2, H3) correctly.

On-page SEO isn't limited to keywords. It's a complete process that includes content quality, meta tags, URL structure, and technical fixes.

SEO is a long-term process.

Patience + correct execution = Guaranteed Results.
